When and how to unplug from the 24/7 world
We always talk about a balanced life. It is hard to achieve when we are constantly plugged into technology. We think we have to be available 24/7, but we don’t. We have to be able to unplug and set boundaries.
Talk a walk or meditate before work, at lunch or after work, but without your phone. This will help replenish your energy.
When you feel things piling up or heading in a negative direction, calm your mind. If your neck or back hurt, get up and walk. Listen to your body.
When asked to do more, it’s okay to respond with a ‘maybe’ or offer up an alternative that works with your schedule. Go ahead and say ‘Yes’ to another project, but then re-prioritize to reduce the pressure and stress.
Instituting these little habits can help us lead a balanced life.
